Privacy policy

We keep data collection to what is needed to run and improve the comparison service. This policy explains what we collect, why, on what legal basis, and the rights you have.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Syntalink (EI), Lorgues, France. For any privacy request, contact contact@siftpick.com.

What we collect

  • An anonymous visitor identifier (cookie) and usage events (pages viewed, comparisons run, outbound clicks, ranking positions shown) to measure and improve the service.
  • The answers you enter in the comparator (such as team size and budget). If you ask us to email your shortlist, these answers are stored with your request so we can send it.
  • Your email address, only if you choose to submit it, together with a record of your consent (double opt-in confirmation, date and time).

Why, and on what basis

  • To operate the comparison and measure performance: our legitimate interest in running and improving the service.
  • To send you the updates and the shortlist you asked for: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.

Sharing with partners

We do not sell your personal data. We do not send your personal information to a provider unless you explicitly and specifically ask us to, for example by requesting a quote through a dedicated form. In that case we tell you which partner(s) will receive it before you submit, and we record your consent.

Retention

Usage analytics are kept in an aggregated or pseudonymous form. If you subscribe and never confirm, the pending record is removed within 30 days. Confirmed subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we remove or anonymise the data.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Write to contact@siftpick.com. If you are in the EU and believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Cookies

We use a first-party cookie to hold the anonymous visitor identifier described above. You can clear it in your browser at any time; the service still works without it.
